For as long as paper has existed, people have
fascinated and touched by this material.
Tenderness and strength at the same time.
As a basis for a line or as a material in itself.

From the process of scooping over
artistic design up to brutal transformation
into a different state of aggregation:
The possibilities are endless.

No other material of art is
as sensual, present and changeable as paper.
Let's build him a  house .

Our library is a unique and valuable resource for all paper art enthusiasts. We offer our visitors access to specialist knowledge on the subject of fine paper art. In order to make our library even more accessible, we need a professional database system and a specialist to update this system. We thank you for your help with this!

Outlook 2023:
Paper Art Festival "Paper and Sound"

(tender for 2023 is closed)

The exhibition is dedicated to the highly emotional relationship between people and the material paper.

What is it that touches us so much?

To explore this, we want to devote an exhibition project to the topic of paper and sound.

The start date is initially July 24, 2023, deviations are possible.

We ask you to think outside the box. It doesn't mean sound boxes that fill the room with sound isolated from the paper. Rather, we want to explore the real and actual communication that takes place between paper and people. This begins with swinging movement, triggered by human warmth or by walking past, through cutting to tearing and crumples.

There is audible sound.
And there is perceivable sound.
And there is sound that is neither audible nor perceivable by humans, but measurable.

Paper communicates with people. And the human communicates with the paper. This topic fascinates us. We would like to see how artists implement this. Gladly also with electronic means or with the help of AI.

We look forward to subtle, complex, disconcerting and touching experiments.
