November 12, 2026
10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Through a visual presentation, Darius Ramazani takes the audience behind the scenes of his Berlin passion project, “ramazani.flasht.berlin”. He shares stories of encounters, unexpected twists, technical challenges and the small moments that often go unseen but can make all the difference.
Every month, he transforms his billboard at Stuttgarter Platz with themes that shape and move Berlin. Thought-provoking. Political. Intelligent. Sometimes challenging, sometimes subtle. Sometimes captivating, sometimes unsettling. The tighter the space becomes in our society for certain topics, the wider Ramazani opens his door. At times, he also makes the billboard available to committed initiatives and cultural projects, opening the space to a wide range of perspectives.
Ramazani creates visibility for the issues that matter to the city today. He looks into parallel worlds and does not shy away from taking a thoughtful look at political realities.
Those who know his work understand that this evening is about more than photography and images. It is about people, Berlin, stories and looking beyond the surface. An evening for anyone who enjoys asking questions, sharpening their own perspective on reality and being inspired by one of the city’s most experienced image-makers.

Talks and Lectures
October 14, 2026
6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Darius Ramazani is one of Germany’s most experienced photographers. Over the course of several decades, he has created major campaigns, features and portraits, held a leading position within the BFF, and gained an in-depth understanding of the industry through decades of hands-on experience.
A great photograph doesn’t begin when the shutter is pressed.
How does an initial idea develop into a production involving clients, models, locations, equipment, schedules and a team working together to create a final image? Where do the typical pitfalls lie? And which decisions need to be made long before a camera is even set up?
This evening is aimed at photographers as well as everyone involved in large-scale productions: agencies, scouts, photo assistants, models and many others. It offers an insightful look at how professional image productions actually come together – informative, honest and entertaining, with stories from a long and successful career. The talk is illustrated by numerous milestones from major campaigns that have long since become part of our collective visual memory.

Talks and Lectures
September 3, 2026
6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
How can cellulose be transformed into a fiber that conducts light? And what potential do renewable resources hold for future technologies?
In her talk, Heidi Englberger from the Technical University of Munich will present current research on cellulose-based optical fibers. The focus is on a new, solvent-free manufacturing process that uses cellulose derivatives to produce sustainable polymer fibers for light transmission.
While conventional polymer optical fibers are typically made from fossil-based plastics, cellulose offers a renewable alternative. The fibers presented demonstrate stable light transmission in the visible and near-infrared ranges, making them particularly interesting for short-distance applications.
The talk offers fascinating insights into the connection between cellulose, materials research and sustainable technology, and explores how a natural raw material can become an innovative material for the technologies of tomorrow.
The Museum Haus des Papiers warmly invites you to discover cellulose from a scientific and technological perspective.

Workshops
February 3, 2026
9:30 - 3:30 p.m.
IIn this deeply intimate six-hour workshop, artist Jessica Maria Toliver guides participants in creating individual urns from paper pulp, incorporating personal materials such as shredded letters, fabrics, photographs, soil, ashes, water and fragments of a life lived.
This workshop is not about technique, but about intimacy, mindfulness and form.
The urns exist somewhere between sculpture, ritual and biographical object. They can remain as deeply personal keepsakes or be used as actual burial urns. The materials and construction meet the usual requirements for potential burial, including the criteria of FriedWald.
