The light drawing series was created in a collaboration between Jorinde Voigt and Olaf Heine. The light drawing uses the technique of photography as a means of expression - immediate, fleeting but precise. Lines of light become signs. Communication arises and is captured in the moment of movement. The camera becomes a witness, the light a means of expression. In these images, attitude is revealed as a trace. Decisions become visible and perceptible to the outside world.
Jorinde Voigt, born in 1977 in Frankfurt am Main, is a visual artist based in Berlin. She studied philosophy, literature, and fine arts. She became known for her large-scale drawings in which she creates cartographic renderings of systems, sounds, movements, and conceptual spaces. Her works are included in numerous international collections, including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, the Hamburger Kunsthalle, and the Centre Pompidou.
