Christiane Feser places a remote-controlled camera on the asphalt in the middle of a flock of pigeons and points her lens vertically into the sky. As the birds fly overhead, intuitively triggered shots are taken. From this controlled coincidence, Feser distills large-format black and white shots in which feathers, claws and gazes merge into abstract fields of form.

Christiane Feser lives and works in Frankfurt. She studied visual communication at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach. She has participated in numerous exhibitions in Germany and abroad, including solo exhibitions in New York, Los Angeles, Frankfurt, Berlin and Paris. Her works are represented in important public collections such as the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the DZ Bank Art Collection and the Museum Haus des Papiers. She has been awarded various scholarships and prizes, including the Paper Residency ! of the Haus des Papiers.
