For as long as paper has existed, people have
fascinated and touched by this material.
Tenderness and strength at the same time.
As a basis for a line or as a material in itself.

From the process of scooping over
artistic design up to brutal transformation
into a different state of aggregation:
The possibilities are endless.

No other art medium is as
sensual, present, and changeable.
Let's build a house for paper.

... let's build a house for the paper. Together!

You can actively support the museum with a donation!

Since the opening of the Haus des Papiers, we have received a lot of encouragement from you out there. We are honoured and happy that you share our passion for paper and paper art so actively. With your enthusiasm, the museum is growing and by 2023 we would like to offer you many more activities.

With your help, we have already achieved a lot to bring the upcoming Paper Art Festival to life! We still need financial support for some projects with an incredible collection of artists and institutions. For more information on upcoming projects, visit our festival website or check out our crowdfunding campaign.

Our goal is not only to be a museum for outstanding fine paper art, but in a few years to create an educational venue, a European information centre around paper art, paper processing, old and new printing technologies and related trades.

Your donation will help us to achieve this goal together!
